There is no doubt that motivation is is the main driving and inspiring force to attain our goals in life. It fills us with enthusiasm and determination to work persistently to arrive at our goal. It is quite true that motivation gives us a lift, as we are afflicted with inertia, procrastination, and low mood. We get inspired and motivated with these wonderful and empowering words by Edger Guest, one of the greatest poets from the United States:
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to
one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle right in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That cannot be done, and you'll do it.
The third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson wisely said: "Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help with man with the wrong mental attitude."
President Obama quit his addiction to smoking, as he hadstrong determination to do so. This is a very instructive fact for the persons addicted to the dangerous habit of smoking leading to lung cancer, and also afflicting other persons with passive smoking.
The truth is that motivation alters our negative state of mind. We should read motivational poems to develop the right attitude , as these poems strengthen us, and ignite the fire within us.
For example, we may take the following lines by Berton Braley that inspire us to reach new heights in our life: "If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt, / Nor sickness nor pain / Of body or brain /
Can turn you away from the thing that you want, / If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,
You'll get it!"
The thought in the above fine, subtle and motivational lines is sharp and clear.
We should try our level best to implement our dreams, to make them a reality.
